Tripping The Rift...

Tripping The Rift is the new Story-Short by Writer/Author Marcus De Storm, and promises to have many readers reaching for the bedroom lights while being engaged in reading its horror filled pages. With a pre-planned released date of February 31st 2012, the story emphasises its storyline on one particular topic - a topic which is under wraps at the moment.

"The decision to keep the synopsis and any other details of the story back until we get closer to the release date was hard to make, especially as many of the readers throughout our other platforms have been informed of the release, as well as a name to that release." O.A.S.N Book 2: The Sanctum...Is A Go!

Okay, after a couple of minor set backs hitting the release of "O.A.S.N Book 2: The Sanctum", we can Officially reveal that the Novel is now in its final stages of being Published and Released for availability on "Amazon". The actual predicted date was destined for 15th September 2012, before it was brought forward to the 1st September originally. Now the book is set to make its simultaneous appearance on both "eBook & Paperback Novel" by the 15th September 2012.

At the moment there are no plans on the Paperback Cover, as only the "eBook" cover has been given the Green Light.

A Full Synopsis is to follow shortly as to which Chapters are contained in the new novel, and of what the reader can expect to be reading about. One thing that is certain about "The Sanctum", it is far from being a romance novel with love and best wishes.

O.A.S.N Series Chapters Revealed

It has been a tough road to follow these past couple of weeks, but finally, the whole concept and creative theories surrounding "On A Storyteller’s Night Series” have really started to take shape over the past several days with the completion of the first EIGHT Book Chapter’s…So far.

The Brotherhood Of The Realms, is the main key novel to the short stories of "On A Storyteller’s Night”, a twenty-five volume series that only vary in their style when crossing between horror and crime thriller to that of gore-horror and fantasy, but also link’s the one first novel with the brand new Stand-Alone novel "Severed Ties” (Working Title) due for release 28th February 2013.

Between the three titles, one thing links them all – Marcus Chance; Marcus Chance was just a normal, everyday teenager who liked to live life on the edge all of the time, until one day he is given a wake up call he will never forget. When he is attacked by his old school teacher, Mr Adrian Peach, Marcus is taken to hospital and into theatre for an emergency operation. The following day he is not only given some bad news about his family, but he also finds that the young boy in the next bed to him is about to lead him on his very first steps into the major league criminal underworld.
Troubled by the interference of PC Ted Calvert, Marcus tries hard to bring the whole bad blood thing between them to an end, but fails dreadfully. It is now time for the police to return the favour by arresting and charging his father for drug possession and distribution.

Filled with twists and turns in the plot, Brotherhood of the Realms takes the reader on a one way rollercoaster ride that will take them both to the very fringe of horror – then tip the scales enough to cause an emotional response. Travelling the very same path as Marcus Chance, the reader becomes witness as slowly he comes face to face with his inner-most fears, and finally arrives at a destination which is more than unexpected. It is now that a new dawn rises and the young Detective fights for his very soul to have it all taken back.

So with 8 Books already chapterized, the next question on everyone’s lips is whether or not the material is present to initiate such a lot of Story-Shorts. The truth is, the material and Story-Shorts have always been there, since as early as 1986 – 1994, where as a dedicated Writer, my typewriter was spitting out some 12 to 15 Story-Shorts per week. And with that said, yes, the material is present – editing began in August 2010.

What’s Next?

Next is the completion, conversion processing into both eBook and Paperback, then the continuation of many other Projects which are available, including a Script & Book for ScreenGems (Resident Evil Distributor) Film Studios, a Script for Channel 4 and several Book Projects that to break into Comedy, Science Fiction, and Adult Erotica. A new Serialization is in Progress as we speak on a Suburban casting of two misfits; ideas and experiences of my own youth that was filled with many Taboo’s. For now, however, the Primary goal is to finish the work presently and complete the Series.

The Brotherhood Say’s “Happy Dreams” To The World

For the first time ever "The Brotherhood Of The Realms”, the Pilot novel that launches "On A Storyteller’s Night” book series, has been put into the Public Domain’s Kindle catalogue. The novel, which had been promised big sales and exposure by American company SBPRA, has re-directed itself to the "eBook” format by the Author himself.

”When I found SBPRA in the 2012 Edition of ‘Writer’s & Authors Handbook’, I was led to believe a lot of things that really weren't to be taken seriously,” Marcus De Storm revealed, "The Publishing Company (That’s open to debate) boasts of more than 3,000 Author’s that it has helped sell their works of art, but, on taking them up on this challenge and paying my $150.00 Dollars [£98.00], I was then faced with a ‘WordPress Website’ for which I had no control over, the description of my book’s contents and Biography, as well as the price in the corner for a Paperback $18.75! Who the hell buys a Paperback from an unpublished Author at nearly $20.00 Dollars?”

Given the exclusive on "The Brotherhood Of The Realms”, it is the very first time that the Pilot novel has seen the light of day within the Public Domain. The Writer himself has allowed only four people including the Publishing House (!) to read the novel, but knows that the decision to withdraw from SBPRA was "Right”, "Justified” and the "Best” move to make for the future of the novel.

”After paying the $150.00 Dollars to SBPRA, I was amazed (angry at the least) to be told that I would have to market and attract the first 100 customers to my WordPress Author’s page. This is where it still sits now, while every two weeks I receive annoying emails from SBPRA asking if I would like to ‘Hire’ the professional services of their staff who can sell my book for me, and at reasonable rates, too. This is something that an unknown, unpublished Writer cannot afford, and so, I have written the whole Project off and joined with Amazon – which I have a strange feeling is exactly what SBPRA do in the long run anyway.” Marcus added.

"The Brotherhood Of The Realms” was written in the early 1990′s, when culture change and attitudes were much different than what they are today, but, when the choices of the generations were more open than most in today's society. The behind the scenes affects of living grabbed hold of Marcus De Storm, bringing him into a more settled – though chaotic – world of chemical influences, and through this taboo indulgence brought knowledge, imagination and fresh idea creations flooding through into his writing. And, from the idea of "The Brotherhood Of The Realms” came the much anticipated Story-Short Novel "On A Storyteller’s Night” Chronicles, which continue after the launch novel in such a way, that one exclusive reader said: "This is intense! From this point of relocating again, I concentrated more time and effort into completing both additional novels to ‘The Brotherhood’, where the result was fifty-two uncut Crime Gore Horror Story-Shorts.”

The Network Sets Sail For Amazon

For a while now, behind the scenes of The Network 2012, we have been busy working on many new projects, including "Publishing” our own work in the form of eBooks and Printed Books through many of today’s technologically advanced platforms in the world. Known only as "The Pre-Curser Project”, it has been the hard work and long hours that have allowed us to iron out the many crinkles which certain writers have failed to bring to the forefront for those other writer’s out there to overcome.

Lifting the Lid on Amazon

There are some Writer’s out there who write and upload a lot of work into the realms of the Internet, while in the background they give advice in the form of "Supplemented” works; pieces of their writing’s which we see as ‘Incomplete’ or ‘Unfinished’, because the simple fact is they are not complete works, but that of ‘Tasters’. On Amazon, we find hundreds, if not thousands of these bouncing around the World Wide Web, and in the meantime as many more are added, we are placed into the position where our decision to ‘Buy or Not to Buy’ is forced.

This is one of the things that The Network was most saddened about, as well as the lack of support for uploading our work; Poetry Novels, those Story-Short Compilations and fully edited Novels. It was after the fifth email sent off to Amazon themselves asking for assistance that we received a very alarming response, one which was not unexpected, however, but alarming all the same. The response asked us if we would like assistance, but then, if we selected yes, then we would have to pay "Paid Professionals” who would have our work (Our Books written by us), edit and prepare them for Publishing. We were shocked! Shocked because the fact that when you enter the Self-Publishing part of Amazon, you are led to believe that not only is Publishing your own book able to be done in 3 clicks, but also, it is absolutely free to do – so long as you have a written book of no less than 24 pages to upload. So where does the element of the "Paid Professionals” come into the scenario?

Simple Solutions

Throughout the last several weeks of Editing, Polishing and illustrating our books that will be ready for uploading very soon under the banners of our real names – Anonymous sounds so impersonal, don’t you think? – we have been working on some very helpful stuff that is about to break the habit of ‘Profitable Gain’, meaning quite simply, we will be posting a "Guide to Self-Publishing” in a very much different way as our American Cousins have been providing of late.

In our "Guide to Self-Publishing”, we will include a ‘No Holds Barred’ step-by-step guide on ‘How To’ format your work, ‘How To’ convert for multiple platforms, and of course, we will reveal ‘How To’ upload and post your work to the platforms in the very same way you want it to look to that all important reader. In the meantime, both The Network and MKDS67, would like to congratulate a very good friend and associate for his achievement in ‘Publishing’ his Novel on the multi-platform eBook conduits. With two chapters available for potential buyers to read, we know that the "Introduction” will speak for itself and more importantly, it will be a sign of good faith that what is written is the truth.

The G.S.E Review

Admittedly, I was a little optimistic when I picked up this book to read, something that I guess everyone feels with these self-help books. The key word here is Truth; is the Author honest enough to back up his self-confidence in his work? Can such a result come out of just a minimum amount of steps? And, most importantly, would this Author willingly swear by the words he shares with the reader as Effective or Workable – Does he have confidence that the book works?

Well, as an advanced acquirer of the GSE (as I like to call it), my life; habits, approach, attitude, work, self-esteem and all around behaviour in both Personal and Business life has changed – for the better may I add.

GSE is a Step-by-Step work plan for normal life and also for Business, too. The approach that the Writer uses is very cleverly done, though this is not meant in a misconceiving way, or that of psychologically channelling the readers mind into doing things that they didn't already know how to do in the first place. The GSE Guide is basically ‘Common Sense’- sense that we have, but for one reason or another we have pushed so far back into the deep recesses of our minds, that we would only recall these and openly admit we knew, when such people like H. Aitoro’s book unlocks that knowledge and brings the information to the forefront once more.

Personally, I believe that the G.S.E Book was too short, and that maybe there is a vast place of expansion for the piece. This is not saying that the price on the book is in any way over-pricing the quality and value, but quite the opposite, as this book gives more than those printed books that the readers purchase for £20 upwards in the bookstores. On a personal level and with no disrespect to those other writer’s out there who try to do the same thing as we see in H. Aitoro’s work, but I am happy to read, absorb and interact with this "Step-by-Step” daily plan for the reasons of it doing exactly what it says on the cover – Gets you up, Keeps you up and Excel’s your personal and business life into a far better place than where you first started.
